I’ve had people tell me “I disagree” during a discussion on a topic they had just admitted to knowing nothing about.

Because mathematicians don’t know anything about Maths. Women don’t know anything about women. Cosmologists don’t know anything about Cosmology. AI experts don’t know anything about AI. Economists don’t know anything about Economics. Buddhists, Christians, Spiritualists, don’t know anything. People online don’t know anything. People in person don’t know anything. University professors don’t know anything. Researchers don’t know anything about their field of research. Experts aren’t experts on anything. Self-help gurus couldn’t help themselves, if they were in a worse situation. Politicians don’t know Politics. Sociologists don’t know anything about society. Physicists don’t know anything about Physics. Psychologists don’t know anything about Psychology. Scholars don’t know anything about their own field.
People don’t know jack shit.
They have opinions. Some stupid opinions. Some informed opinions. Some interesting, rational, logical opinions based on some experience. And even then, it’s nothing more than “opinion”.
Shit’s crazy. You can’t trust anyone. Even the supposed “smart people” don’t know as much as they claim they know. Most of it is just opinion. Knowledge and wisdom are not found in other people. People don’t know anything. They don’t really, really know anything.
